Natural Skincare Review: Fleur & Bee

As I mentioned earlier this year, one of my beauty resolutions is to incorporate more natural skincare into my routine. I’m excited about today’s post and to share with you a new brand to the natural skincare space—Fleur & Bee. A rep for the brand reached out to me and offered to send me full-size samples to try. For the record, I never accept free product in exchange for reviews (I only accept for editorial consideration) so this was up to me if I wanted to share my thoughts on the products.

What You Need To Know: 2019 Sephora Beauty Insider Sale

It’s the most wonderful time of the year—for beauty junkies at least!I’ve been patiently waiting for the dates to be released for the 2019 Sephora Beauty Insider Sale (also known as the Spring Bonus Event), and it’s almost here!!I kicked off 2019 with a no spend challenge for two months so my beauty spending has significantly decreased. I knew the spring sale would be right around the corner and so I’ve been thinking about all the products I want to buy and restock. Sephora has a discount event twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall). Last year it was called the Spring Bonus Event and I assume that will be the same name this year.

Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes & Pillow Talk Eyeshadow Palettes

I’m so excited for today’s post because I get to talk about my favorite eyeshadow quads from Charlotte Tilbury. I thought it would be helpful to do a side-by-side comparison of the Exagger-Eyes and Pillow Talk eyeshadow palettes. At first glance they look very similar. I purchased Exagger-Eyes back in November and when Pillow Talk was released, I was on the fence about purchasing (because online the palettes looked almost identical).

It was two weeks ago when Glossier teased the newest launch and I knew right away, there goes all my money! I’ve literally tried every single product from Glossier (and I’ve ranked them all here) so this new collection is no exception. Read on for my Glossier Play review and first impressions…Glossier is still very much a skincare and barely there makeup brand.  Glossier Play is a brand of “dialed-up beauty extras. ” Think colorful eyeliner, lip products, glitter eyeshadow, and highlighter concentrate.

My Haircare Routine & Favorite Products

I will be the first to admit I am no hair expert, even with a 7-year-old beauty blog. My forte is definitely more makeup and skincare. I’m a minimalist when it comes to my haircare routine. You’re looking at my entire hair product collection (minus my hair tools).

Spring Fashion & Beauty Wish List

It’s the last week of my no spend month and I am counting down the hours until Friday because it’s pay day AND March 1st, which will officially end my two month no shopping challenge!! I would love to treat myself to a few things to celebrate my hard work (without breaking the bank) so I’ve compiled my spring fashion and beauty wish list. 1. Kosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation: I’ve heard so many great things about this brand and after watching Tati’s first impressions video I was influenced to give this a try. Technically, this is no longer on my beauty wish list because my bridal makeup artist gifted me one! (I modeled for her inaugural makeup class a couple weekends ago.

[Update] I Tried A No Spend Month And Here’s What Happened

You’ve heard me share my decision to do a no spend month on my blog, in my email newsletter and on social media. As we approach the end of the month, I thought it would be helpful to dive a little deeper into why I did this in the first place, how I saved my money and what I learned from this experience. Before I share how I executed my no spend month, let’s talk about how I got to this point in the first place.  In August of last year I endured an unexpected layoff at my full-time job.
