Camera Ready: 5 Setting Powders For Every Budget

I’ve never made setting powder a permanent step in my beauty routine. To be completely honest, I rarely remember to use it. But lately I’ve needed more coverage (thank you breakouts, redness, uneven texture at 29) and so I’ve been opting for CC creams and foundation, which has led me to rediscover old purchases, free samples and new splurges. Before I share my thoughts on 5 setting powders under $40, here’s a quick breakdown on the different kinds of powders so you can find the right one for you.

Sephora Spring Bonus Event Makeup & Skincare Picks

The Sephora Spring Bonus Event started last week for Beauty Insider Members that have Rouge Status. Naturally, I’m late to the party because I’m a VIB member but if you have the same status as me, or you’re a BI member, then we can start preparing now. Sitewide sales can be overwhelming, at least for me anyway. I’m not going to put together a laundry list of recommendations.

All Of The Glossier Products I’ve Tried, Ranked

I don’t think I’ve ever been more loyal to a particular brand. Not just because I’m a rep—but because I’ve been a fan of Glossier since its inception with the Phase 1 set (the OG set—you know, the face mist, the priming moisturizer and the balm dotcom). In celebration of a brand I love, I gathered up all the skincare and makeup products in my arsenal and got to work ranking each one. Packaging was taken into consideration with a bevy of other factors; effectiveness, frequency of use and first impressions were all fair game.

Coming Clean: Must-Have Makeup Removers

I love chatting all things makeup but rarely do I spend the time talking about how I remove it at night. My cleansing routine is pretty weird now that I think about it. Is The Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask Worth $48?

The things I do for this blog. About two weeks ago I spent $48 on the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, created by bloggers Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores. When I first saw snippets of the product on my IG feed, I thought, well I’m not a jetsetter so why would I ever use this mask? Then I saw the tagline, “you don’t have to be a jetsetter to have that lag. ” Touché, marketing.

I’m so excited to be a part of my first monthly linkup with press themes! This month’s writing prompt was what are five items under $50 you can’t live without? Being a product junkie, I naturally think of skincare and makeup essentials. These are my five beauty products under $50 that I can’t live without. Fresh Sugar Dream ($26): I have a love/hate relationship with tinted lip balms.

What It Means To Be A Glossier Rep + Lidstar Review

Before I dive into my Glossier Lidstar review, I want to explain what it means to be a Glossier rep. There are a lot of misconceptions out there but most of all, there seems to be so much shade thrown at Glossier reps. First, I’m a Glossier rep and it’s not my full-time job (neither is my blog) and if you’re a casual reader you might already know that. Being a Glossier rep is like the equivalent of being a part an affiliate commission company (think rewardStyle or ShopStyle).

Trunk Club Review: Is It Worth It?

Let me start by saying, I hate trying on clothes. What I once loved doing when I was a teenager now feels like a cumbersome task. I’m sure part of it’s because I don’t like the bright lighting in dressing room, which basically draws attention to all my body insecurities (hello, flabby arms) or the pressure to buy everything the sales associate is pulling for me. I just have a hard time saying “no,” but I’m working on it.

Spring Beauty Wish List

Today I’m sharing my current spring beauty wish list. In an effort to pare down my beauty routine, I thought it would be best to round up only the products I truly need and/or want. Serums seem to be my latest skincare obsession. I’m turning 30 (!) this year so nailing down an anti-aging regimen (I know, such a taboo word these days) is a priority.
